| Serrala | Legacy | Serrala AutoBank | Treasury Management | TRM | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012, Klett Group implemented Serrala AutoBank as part of its Treasury Management deployment in the central SAP environment. The project targeted consolidation of cash management, accounting, liquidity planning and bank communication across a decentralized organization that comprises 75 companies in 18 countries and 42 locations, with more than 50 bank contacts and multiple accounting departments in the DA-CH region.
The implementation configured Serrala AutoBank to deliver automatic bank accounting functions, including electronic account statement import and automated posting of SAP transactions, together with rule based allocation algorithms and centralized posting records. Complementary components from the documented stack included Moneta for SAP for cash management, liquidity planning and financial reporting, and the ipcnavigator module for bank communication and file exchange.
Integrations were explicitly centered on SAP Cash Management and FI, with a central one off import of account statements feeding accounting, cash management and liquidity planning. The rollout included integration of non SAP subsidiaries via web GUI and the enrichment of electronic statement data with FI invoice information to enable value based actual invoice posting and more detailed deviation analysis.
Governance changes emphasized uniform user guidance and authorization control, plus central maintenance of allocation algorithms, while operational ownership required training a cadre of power users to maintain filters and to integrate new banks and companies. The program structured workflows to move high volume processing to automated streams and to optimize manual post processing through Serrala AutoBank and Moneta for SAP configuration.
Stated benefits from the agenda included creation of continuous, optimized processes for cash management, accounting, liquidity planning and central bank communication, reduction of administration costs and avoidance of external interfaces. The implementation documentation also emphasizes increased automation rates for account statement processing and the need to sustain skilled users to preserve automation quality.
