Integration work included EDI connectivity and map design for transaction sets 850, 856, and 810, flat file integrations between EDI partners and the Order Management System, and API integrations to synchronize data with the Manhattan SCALE warehouse management system and the RfXcel serialization and track and trace solution rTS. The deployment ensured interoperability between Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, the order management platform, third party logistics providers, the warehouse management system SCALE and serialization systems. Governance followed agile delivery patterns with monthly business prioritization meetings, sprint planning, daily scrums, retrospectives, and software demonstrations, managed through Azure DevOps with a product owner and subject matter experts overseeing vendor work. Quality assurance activities included system integration testing, user acceptance testing, weekly defect triage, and delivery of IQ and OQ packages to Compliance under a Computer System and Validation Plan, followed by a hypercare support phase for the 3PL business team. The rollout delivered an on time, on budget go live, and post go live work included training materials, user guides, and operational support for EDI and serialization compliance aligned with DSCSA requirements. The result positioned J. Knipper & Co. with a cloud based Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations instance aligned to ERP Financial business functions, integrating finance, order management, warehouse operations and serialization workflows.
