In 2024, Kongsberg Aviation Maintenance Services AS implemented IFS Cloud CRM to centralize customer relationship management and automate core commercial workflows. The deployment of IFS Cloud CRM is part of a broader IFS Cloud suite rollout that includes maintenance, repair and operations MRO, supply chain, projects, procurement, finance, CRM, and health safety and environment HSE modules to strengthen asset reliability and operational efficiency.
The IFS Cloud CRM implementation focuses on CRM capabilities for customer quoting, contract and service management, and sales and service scheduling, tightly integrated with maintenance execution and MRO workflows. The project explicitly targets automation of the order to cash process, aligning quoting, planning, maintenance execution, and invoicing within a single application data model to remove operational silos and reduce manual effort.
Architecturally the solution is delivered as a multi-module cloud enterprise platform, with integration across finance, procurement, supply chain, projects, and HSE modules within IFS Cloud. The rollout is scoped to support approximately 500 users across four sites in Norway, covering functions in maintenance, supply chain, projects, finance, sales and service operations, and HSE, and will be implemented with assistance from IFS alliance partner CGI.
Governance and process change center on centralized workflows for resource allocation, sourcing, planning and maintenance execution, with CRM serving as the customer-facing control point for order intake and commercial lifecycle management. Stated outcomes for the implementation include improved turnaround time, reduced costs, facilitation of business expansion and new customer acquisition, and support for increased flight hours and availability for defense customers.
