In 2019, KZ-RV implemented Sage 500 ERP (formerly MAS 500) to support ERP Financial operations across its parts, warranty and finance functions. The deployment focused on transaction processing and dealer-facing billing workflows using the Sage 500 ERP application to generate invoices and maintain financial records.
Sage 500 ERP was configured to support dealer invoicing and accounts receivable workflows, enabling ad hoc invoice generation per dealer request and financial posting of parts transactions. Configuration emphasized invoice creation, receivables tracking, and integration of billing processes with parts and warranty workstreams to ensure invoices reflected requested dealer billing preferences.
Operational workflows included assisting in UPS shipping of parts to RV dealers and monitoring UPS shipments, capturing and sending UPS and CEVA truck freight tracking information to dealers as requested, and using Sage 500 program screens to prepare and dispatch invoices. Support for the parts and warranty department covered various projects that required coordination between shipping, billing, and warranty claim handling.
Governance and process controls relied on manual reconciliation and record keeping, with staff maintaining Excel spreadsheets for federal Recall and Technical Service Bulletin information and updating those spreadsheets as claims for warranty work were submitted in the online claims system. The implementation placed operational responsibility with parts, warranty, and finance teams for shipping communications, invoice delivery, and warranty claim data maintenance.
