In 2021 LaCrosse Footwear implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its core ERP Financial platform, replacing an on-premises Microsoft Dynamics AX deployment to address heavy customizations and reliability issues. The implementation centered on a cloud first Microsoft stack to stabilize finance and supply chain operations while minimizing bespoke extensions.
The deployment delivered the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations application together with Supply Chain Management modules to support order processing, inventory allocation, warehouse and returns management, and core financials. The cloud architecture runs on Azure and leverages Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Service Bus, Logic Apps, Synapse, Data Lake Store, Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services, and Power BI to centralize data, reporting, and analytics across the business.
Integrations were implemented for a broad set of third party systems, including Avalara, Allport Cargo, BarTender, EDI, Lightspeed, Logility, Magento, OIA US Customs, Optoro, Plumriver, Prophix, and ProShip to support commerce, tax, shipping, and supply chain orchestration. The rollout covered more than 300 users across North America, including seven retail stores and two distribution centers, and was delivered without major business disruption.
Project governance used a blueprint engagement and a Unified Framework delivery approach to control scope, track accountability, and accelerate testing during a pandemic remote work model. Hitachi Solutions served as the Microsoft partner and provides managed services for ongoing support, while DXC Technology is listed as the SI VAR; managed services scope includes service requests, application integrations, upgrades and patches, performance diagnostics, release and source code management, and reporting.
Explicit outcomes stated by the customer include improved system stability, reduced unplanned downtime during peak periods, faster background processing and deployments, fewer customized extensions, more accurate reporting, and a platform that is always up to date. LaCrosse is positioning the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations ERP Financial environment to expand with Power Apps, Power Automate, and additional retail POS and distribution optimizations in future phases.

In 2015, LaCrosse Footwear implemented UKG Ready (ex Kronos Workforce Ready) as its Workforce Management solution. The deployment addressed timekeeping and scheduling needs for the company’s manufacturing and distribution workforce and covered an employee base of approximately 400, centralizing workforce administration previously handled across disparate spreadsheets and manual processes.
UKG Ready (ex Kronos Workforce Ready) was configured to deliver core time and attendance, shift scheduling, absence and accrual management, and manager approval workflows. Configuration emphasized plant-floor time capture, rule-based overtime and pay code enforcement, and role-based access controls to align with manufacturing shift patterns and supervisory structures, reflecting standard Workforce Management capabilities.
Operational ownership resided in human resources and operations teams, with the system supporting supervisors, timekeepers, and payroll administrators through a single authoritative source for hours and schedule data. Rollout focused on aligning workforce policies with system rules, and training prioritized front-line supervisors and payroll administrators to ensure consistent time collection and approval processes.
Governance changes included codifying timeoff and attendance policies inside the application and instituting manager approval workflows to replace ad hoc approvals, improving auditability of labor records. The implementation positioned UKG Ready as the central platform for workforce administration at LaCrosse Footwear, embedding Workforce Management functionality into day-to-day HR and operations routines.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Power BI | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | DXC Technology | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, LaCrosse Footwear implemented Microsoft Power BI as its enterprise Analytics and BI platform to centralize reporting and visualization. The deployment targeted retail, distribution, and supply chain operations for more than 300 users across North America, including seven retail stores and two distribution centers, with a focus on operational and executive reporting to support merchandising, supply chain, and finance functions.
Microsoft Power BI was configured to deliver operational dashboards, inventory and sales analytics, and executive scorecards. The implementation aligned Power BI with Azure analytics components such as Azure Analysis Services, Azure Synapse, Data Lake Store, Data Factory, and Microsoft SQL Server to provide consolidated data modeling, ETL orchestration, and a governed semantic layer for self service and scheduled reporting.
Operational integrations feeding the analytics layer included Avalara, Allport Cargo, BarTender, EDI pipelines, Lightspeed, Logility, Magento, OIA US Customs, Optoro, Plumriver, Prophix, and ProShip, with Azure Service Bus and Logic Apps used for messaging and automation. Microsoft Power BI consumed these consolidated models to surface inventory allocation, order processing, warehouse and returns management insights, improving visibility for merchandising, distribution, and finance teams.
The rollout followed an initial blueprint engagement and a Unified Framework delivery approach, with Hitachi Solutions providing managed services and post go live support for the Dynamics 365 and Azure ecosystem, and SI/VAR DXC Technology recorded in project metadata. Governance included tracked accountability, release and source code management, and ongoing monitoring through managed services. Reported results included more stable reporting, fewer customized extensions, faster background processes and deployments, and improved visibility across sellable and shippable inventory.
