In 2017, Laksala implemented CitiXsys iVend Retail as its core retail application. The deployment covered its network of 13 stores across Sri Lanka and focused on integrating store point of sale with back office warehousing and financial processes. CitiXsys iVend Retail was configured to deliver store point of sale, inventory management, store-level merchandising workflows, and centralized reporting capabilities customary to Retail Management. The implementation emphasized store-to-head office synchronization and inventory visibility to address specialty retail requirements for range control and knowledgeable staff support. The integration architecture connected CitiXsys iVend Retail with SAP Business One for finance and warehouse operations, and the integration work was delivered with assistance from business partner Pristine Solutions. The solution unified sales transaction records, stock movement flows, and financial posting streams to create end-to-end transactional continuity between stores and corporate finance. Operational coverage included store operations, merchandising, inventory control, warehousing, and finance across all locations, and governance and process changes removed manual reconciliation tasks such as trial balances while restoring network-level visibility. Laksala's use of CitiXsys iVend Retail in this Retail Management deployment aligned sales and operational data with financial records, enabling more informed enterprise planning and operational coordination.
