In 2019 Lazada Group deployed SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Credit Management to strengthen corporate credit controls. The deployment focused on Credit Union Management capabilities and was scoped to support FI/CO and FSCM functional areas, aligning credit controls with finance and order to cash operations across Lazada Group Singapore. The implementation leveraged the SAP ECC module set to centralize credit decisioning and master data alignment for customers and credit control areas.
Configuration work emphasized standard SAP Credit Management constructs including credit control area setup, customer credit limit configuration, exposure monitoring, automatic credit checks during sales order processing, and integration with accounts receivable and collections workflows. Functional scope included FI/CO master data alignment, FSCM credit management rules and scoring logic, and automation of credit hold and release processes to embed credit decisioning into transactional processing. Technical design retained close alignment with FI posting and AR reconciliation processes to ensure financial integrity.
Hitachi Solutions Europe Ltd. served as the systems integrator, delivering configuration, testing and cutover support, and establishing governance for credit policy, approval workflows and ongoing configuration control. Rollout activities targeted finance, credit administration and order management teams in Singapore, with training and operating procedures to govern credit limit changes and exception handling. The implementation positioned SAP ERP ECC 6.0 - Credit Management as the authoritative engine for Credit Union Management within Lazada Group finance operations.
