Infor Legacy Infor Lawson ERP Financial ERP n/a 2010 2010
In 2010, Life Care Centers of America executed a major upgrade of Infor Lawson within its ERP Financial environment. Mark Gooch, Vice President of Business Intelligence, personally oversaw the largest hardware and software updates to the corporate financial system since its inception. The upgrade of Infor Lawson included a database platform transition from Oracle 11g to Microsoft SQL Server 11.0 on premise, and a hardware migration from IBM RS-6000 AIX servers to Dell servers running Windows Server 2012 on premise. The project required a complete script conversion from the AIX environment to Perl, and a user interface migration from Lawson Interface Desktop LID command line to the Infor Portal graphical interface. Reporting was transitioned from custom 4GL COBOL reports to SQL Server Reporting Services running inside the Lawson Business Intelligence (LBI) environment. Automation and batch processing were restructured by converting Lawson automated processes that had depended on recurring jobs and Windows automation to Infor Process Automation IPA, centralizing orchestration and scheduling inside the Infor Lawson stack. The work also encompassed development, testing, and deployment of hundreds of custom Infor Lawson applications used by both Life Care corporate and facility personnel, extending the ERP Financial footprint into facility level workflows and corporate finance operations. Governance was led by the corporate Business Intelligence function under Mark Gooch, with formal development and testing cycles to support on premise deployments across corporate and facility systems. The implementation emphasized platform standardization, application conversion, and consolidation of reporting and process automation inside the Infor Lawson ERP Financial architecture.

Sterling Talent Solutions Legacy Sterling Background Check BackGround Screening HCM n/a 2014 2014
In 2014, Life Care Centers of America implemented Sterling Background Check, adopting Sterling Background Check as its BackGround Screening solution to support hiring and onboarding workflows across its clinical staffing and HR teams. The deployment is framed around BackGround Screening use cases, explicitly tied to candidate vetting, drug testing orchestration, and routine background checks used by staffing coordinators and administrative assistants in facility-level hiring. Configuration and functional scope centered on screening orchestration and adjudication workflows, with Sterling Background Check used to initiate and track criminal and identity searches, coordinate drug testing steps, and record clearance status for new hires. The implementation supported candidate status tracking and onboarding handoffs into HR processes, reflecting standard BackGround Screening capabilities such as report delivery, adjudication notes, and candidate-level audit trails. Operational integrations included coexistence with a secondary screening vendor, CAPS, to run parallel checks, and practical interoperability with applicant tracking systems, Excel-based staffing and payroll inputs, and the COVR staffing program as described by facility-level staff. Operational coverage extended to facility hiring and onboarding activities at the Evergreen, Colorado site and was used by staffing coordinators who also submitted weekly agency reports to executive directors. Governance and process controls were centered on HR adjudication, HIPAA and Life Care Code of Conduct compliance during screening and onboarding, and role-based use by staffing coordinators and administrative assistants who managed screenings on an on-call basis. The implementation emphasized operational integration with existing staffing workflows rather than system replacement narratives.
