In 2023, Lifeline Australia implemented Workato iPaaS to automate donation and lead management workflows across its fundraising and marketing functions. The deployment uses Workato iPaaS in the iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) category to centralize integration logic and reduce manual data handling for donor and supporter records.
Implementation focused on two core automation modules, financial donation documentation and lead management. Workato iPaaS was configured to map and transform incoming donation payloads, create or update donor records in Salesforce, and orchestrate Salesforce record creation for captured leads, enabling standardized data models and automated record lifecycle handling.
Integrations explicitly implemented include syncs from GiveEasy, a third party donation platform, and Facebook into Salesforce, with project delivery by NobleCX. The implementation also rearchitected sensitive payment data flows so credit card information is no longer transmitted into the Lifeline environment, centralizing sensitive data handling through Workato iPaaS.
Operational scope covered the Marketing and Fundraising teams and the National Data and Support Services group, and Workato iPaaS is positioned as the go to automation layer for new fundraising projects. Governance consolidated technical work onto the Workato platform, reducing developer time to go live to between half a day and two days for new integrations, improving data quality, eliminating manual entry, reducing context switching, and freeing staff to focus on process improvement and higher value work.
