In 2019 LINLEY deployed Access TeamSeer to standardize absence tracking and holiday booking across its London operations. Access TeamSeer is an Absence and Leave Management application that replaced manual forms and a large spreadsheet based process, and delivered a user friendly self service and approval workflow for time off requests.
Implementation centered on core absence management capabilities, including employee self service for holiday and absence requests, manager approval workflows, configurable notice period rules, and built in reporting tools. Access TeamSeer’s reporting and scheduling modules were configured to generate daily presence updates for reception and to enforce different notice periods depending on the number of days requested, which formalized request rules and made planning more consistent.
Operational coverage included retail and office sites across London, with reception staff, managers, and the broader employee population using the system to record attendance and annual leave. The workforce was given remote access to Access TeamSeer so employees could submit requests outside the office, managers could approve via the platform, and the receptionist could publish out of office updates to staff in a few clicks rather than via manual distribution.
Governance and process changes accompanied the technical rollout, with managers empowered to supervise their teams through the approval workflows and HR procedures updated to reflect notice period requirements and reporting outputs. The result was a measurable reduction in administrative burden, with LINLEY reporting that the solution freed roughly the equivalent of a part time administrator, approximately 20 hours a week, and that the cost of Access TeamSeer was affordable for the company while enabling staff accountability and improved visibility for business planning.
