In 2012 LittleMissMatched implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP as its ERP Financial solution to unify e commerce, merchandising and back office finance for the New York based apparel manufacturer. The deployment covered customer relationship management, marketing promotions, order and inventory management, warehousing and distribution, and core financials to provide a single system of record across commerce and finance.
Implementation work focused on SuiteCommerce driven storefront capabilities and configurable checkout workflows within Oracle NetSuite ERP. LittleMissMatched used SuiteCommerce functionality to introduce a new single page checkout flow, enhance branding and checkout aesthetics, and extend advanced promotions capabilities to support marketing and conversion objectives. The configuration emphasized flexible customization points to streamline shopping cart and checkout processes and to deliver consistent customer experience across the webstore.
Architecturally the webstore was integrated with the core NetSuite ERP financials through the SuiteCommerce API, and the company built a JSON connector to manage transaction synchronization into the ERP financial ledger. That connector links front end order management and promotions logic to order and revenue transaction records in the Oracle NetSuite ERP environment, and it underpins planned rollout of a mobile shopping environment optimized for smartphones. The integration approach maintained transaction orchestration in the NetSuite core, while exposing SuiteCommerce services for front end composition and promotions rules.
Operational scope included e commerce merchandising, marketing, fulfillment and finance teams, with the implementation intended to reduce shopping cart abandonment and increase sales as stated by the company. Governance changes emphasized centralized transaction processing in the ERP Financial system and promoted coordinated promotions and checkout change management between marketing and IT. The project delivered greater efficiencies and an improved customer experience through streamlined checkout and enhanced promotional controls.
