In 2019 Logic Planet CS implemented A10 Thunder ADC as part of a Secure Web Gateway deployment to strengthen application delivery and perimeter security for its IT operations and network engineering functions. The rollout focused on integrating application delivery capabilities into an existing virtualized infrastructure and on hardening access controls for production services.
The A10 Thunder ADC implementation included configuration and management of load balancing, traffic steering and SSL offload consistent with application delivery controller capabilities, and the team installed, configured, managed and troubleshot A10 Thunder ADC alongside F5 LTM GTM and Citrix NetScaler appliances. Authentication and authorization were implemented using RADIUS and TACACS plus servers, and security monitoring was provided through Cisco ISE, producing an architecture that combined ADC features with centralized access control and monitoring.
Infrastructure integration used Infrastructure as a Service components provisioned from VMWare vSphere client and vCenter server, while operational visibility and packet analysis relied on network monitoring and sniffing tools such as SolarWinds, Orion and Wireshark. The network fabric comprised Cisco platforms including Nexus 7000 5000 2000 series and ASR 1000 and 9000 series with technologies such as vPC, OTV and VDC, and access control lists were applied on routers and switches according to group work and hierarchy for authorization.
Operational governance emphasized network and security operations workflows, with Linux and Windows system administration supporting ADC and monitoring stacks, and with routine sniffer analysis, WAN optimization and network monitoring as primary operational practices. The implementation narrative centers on combining A10 Thunder ADC application delivery capabilities with RADIUS and TACACS plus based authentication, Cisco ISE security monitoring and VMware driven infrastructure to support Secure Web Gateway functions.
