Oracle Legacy Oracle NetSuite ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2016 2016
In 2016 Louisiana Advocacy Center implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP to underpin its financial and operational systems while serving people with physical and mental disabilities and the elderly. The cloud based deployment and web access were adopted to ensure continuity of operations after Hurricane Katrina had threatened the organization s on premise system, supporting its first responder commitment in crisis situations. Oracle NetSuite ERP was configured to provide core accounting and financial reporting, time entry and time management for 60 employees, an employee self service expense reporting center, and donor and donation tracking capabilities. The implementation centralized financial reporting and forecasting workflows, enabling faster generation of consolidated statements and operational visibility consistent with ERP Financial functional patterns. Web donations were routed directly into NetSuite accounting in real time instead of being batched weekly under the prior Great Plains and spreadsheet hybrid, improving the flow of fundraising data into the general ledger. The cloud based architecture enabled agency wide access for accounting and fundraising teams, and the implementation covered operational functions across the finance and development departments. Operational governance and process changes included shifting time entry from a manual tabulation role to distributed employee reporting, allowing the former timekeeper to be repurposed to higher value work. Accounting reported the ability to produce a financial statement in two minutes rather than two hours, and management gained real time financial forecasts instead of relying on one week old reports. Louisiana Advocacy Center s use of Oracle NetSuite ERP in the ERP Financial category consolidated transactional accounting and donor management into a unified cloud platform.
