Operational ownership remained with finance and accounts payable, with policies updated to require validated receipt claims as part of the invoice approval workflow.

Governance centered on continuous review and improvement of internal payment controls and processes, liaison with Treasury Managers and the Director to ensure smooth end to end payment processing, and interaction with internal and external auditors to prepare audited data and respond to queries. The program also incorporated short term financial forecasting, preparation and verification of process description documents, and leading and participating in projects to implement improvements and standardization and to define new processes based on business requests.
