In 2020, Ma Labs implemented Microsoft 365 as its core Collaboration platform. Deployment used a cloud first Microsoft 365 tenant model leveraging Azure Active Directory for identity and single sign on, with key workloads provisioned including Exchange Online for email, SharePoint Online for intranet and document management, Microsoft Teams for synchronous collaboration, OneDrive for file sync, and Office desktop and web apps for authoring and coauthoring.
Operational scope covered Ma Labs’ China footprint and targeted core business functions including IT, professional services delivery, sales operations and HR, using a phased user onboarding approach to align permissions, training and adoption by department. Governance and operational controls were applied at the tenant and workload level, including role based administration, conditional access policies, retention labels and site provisioning standards to enforce information governance and lifecycle management. Microsoft 365 was positioned to centralize collaboration workflows and standardize productivity tooling across Ma Labs to support knowledge management and client delivery processes.
