In 2016 Macrennie Construction implemented Crelate Hire Onboarding to formalize new hire administration within a 75 person New Zealand construction and real estate operator. The deployment was scoped to address core Onboarding needs for construction operations, focusing on candidate to employee record conversion and standardized hiring workflows.
Crelate Hire Onboarding was configured to deliver template-driven onboarding task checklists, document capture and compliance tracking, offer generation and acceptance workflows, and basic role and access provisioning. The implementation emphasized automation of routine HR tasks and centralized new-hire records to reduce manual handoffs between recruiting and HR staff.
The onboarding deployment ran alongside CostCon which Macrennie used for project job-costing and payroll and time capture, with operational processes adjusted so new hire information fed HR and finance intake workflows. The operational coverage included HR administrators and site supervisors across Macrennie Construction projects in New Zealand, aligning hiring administration with field payroll and job-costing practices.
Governance for Crelate Hire Onboarding centered on standardized onboarding checklists, documented compliance task ownership, and approval workflows for offers and role assignments. The configuration supported repeatable onboarding processes tailored to construction roles, enabling consistent governance between recruiting, HR and site operations.
