In 2014, Mactaggart & Mickel Group Ltd implemented Capita iTime for Time and Attendance across its operations. The deployment included Capita iTime and iHR at the head office, eight construction sites and timber systems factories to capture hours for over 700 employees and subcontractors.
Capita iTime was configured to capture working time for both salaried and contracted employees, with bespoke contractual rules and attendance logic tailored to the companys pay and contract terms. Administration was provisioned to 13 users in HR, Payroll and line management to support time entry validation, exception handling and payroll-ready time exports.
Capita WFM implemented a bespoke integration between Capita iTime and Mactaggart & Mickels COINS payroll software so logged hours flowed directly into the payroll export. That integration preserved configured contractual rules through to payroll and eliminated a manual handoff between time capture and payroll processing, significantly reducing admin time, human error and internal costs.
Rollout governance emphasized configuration-driven compliance and close collaboration with Mactaggart & Mickel to capture bespoke requirements, with operational ownership assigned to HR, Payroll and line management administrators. The implementation unified Time and Attendance data, workforce administration and payroll export processes to streamline day to day time capture and payroll preparation.
