In 2015, Majestic Steel USA implemented Invera Stratix ERP, deploying a Manufacturing ERP to consolidate corporate finance and production workflows. The implementation targeted the corporate finance organization, which included a controller-led team of 17 total FTEs and three direct reports responsible for general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, treasury, tax, cost accounting and financial analysis.
Invera Stratix ERP was configured to centralize core financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and to embed cost accounting and financial reporting capabilities aligned with steel manufacturing cost structures. On the manufacturing side the deployment included Manufacturing ERP standard capabilities such as inventory control, production scheduling and procurement to support plant operations and materials planning. Configuration emphasized transactional controls and cost roll ups consistent with cost accounting and inventory valuation workflows.
Governance for the rollout was driven by a cross functional implementation team with the controller as a core team member, reflecting prior controller participation on due diligence and integration teams for acquisitions. The controller also participated in negotiation and implementation of an ABL banking arrangement, which informed treasury and cash management controls configured in the system, and finance staff ownership covered testing, executive reporting alignment and process standardization across impacted business functions.
