In 2021, Marqeta implemented Fond Rewards to support peer-to-peer recognition and monetary rewards as part of its HR and employee engagement programs. The deployment centered on Employee Recognition and Rewards Management capabilities, including peer-to-peer recognition workflows, monetary reward issuance, recognition tagging to core company values, and analytics dashboards to surface recognition volume and value alignment. Fond Rewards was configured to provide HR-visible reporting and to operationalize recognition workflows across teams.
Rollout focused on the United States and achieved broad adoption across the organization, yielding rapid usage with over 2,200 recognitions and approximately 87% of employees recognized since launch. Operational governance was managed through HR-led program administration, using Fond Rewards analytics to track recognition patterns and core-value alignment and to inform ongoing employee engagement activities.
