| ADP | Legacy | ADP Enterprise eTIME (OEM Kronos Workforce Central) | Time and Attendance | HCM | n/a | 2014 | 2014 |
In 2014 Mead Johnson & Company, LLC implemented ADP Enterprise eTIME (OEM Kronos Workforce Central) for Time and Attendance. The deployment focused on centralizing timekeeping and payroll controls for corporate and manufacturing payroll across multiple facilities in various states, with a targeted rollout to automate time capture at one of the companys two manufacturing plants.
The implementation encompassed core Time and Attendance functionality including timekeeping management, automated timeclock capture, monitoring, auditing and reconciliation of time activity against internal policy and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements. System configuration and testing included custom ADP eTime changes via a JAVA interface, and the project reduced reliance on external ADP project resources by keeping interface development and testing in-house. Training activities covered Timekeepers and Managers, creation and maintenance of payroll documentation, and an annual workshop attended by more than 80 employees.
Operational integrations included use of the ADP General Ledger application to map earnings and deductions to the correct G L accounts and cost centers, and coordinated weekly and biweekly payroll processing with ADP as the payroll vendor for multiple facilities. Leave of Absence administration was implemented within the ADP eTime environment, with reconciliations against company policy, state specific disability requirements and third party records, and close operational coordination with HR, Benefits, Legal and Occupational Health.
Governance and workflow restructuring emphasized auditability and reconciliation, with routines to generate and reconcile payroll reports monthly, quarterly and on an ad hoc basis, and to process accounting entries for each payroll cycle. Controls included ongoing monitoring and auditing of timekeeping activity to enforce internal procedures and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and role based training to support new operational workflows.
Explicit outcomes noted during the engagement included automation of timekeeping at the implemented manufacturing plant and a reduction in external ADP project dependency due to internal JAVA interface configuration and testing. An administrator on the program earned the Certified Payroll Professional CPP designation in April 2015, reflecting operational competency in payroll and compliance practices.
