In 2020 Meatex Trading implemented Sage 200 together with Unleashed to centralize accounting and inventory processes, using Sage 200 as the core ERP Financial application supporting finance and costing workflows. The deployment was led from the company finance and systems function and positioned Sage 200 ERP Financial as the authoritative ledger for sales and stock valuation.
Configuration focused on accounting and inventory modules, with explicit workstreams to capture full product costings for core and ad hoc items produced by the sister production company Norvik Foods Ltd. The implementation included setup of stock valuation controls, inventory transaction posting into Sage 200, and development of Excel-based data maintenance and automation to keep system reference data synchronized and to support product profitability analysis.
Integrations were established between Unleashed as the inventory management system and Sage 200 for financial posting and stock value reconciliation, enabling stock availability and stock value control across multiple cold store warehouses in the United Kingdom. Operational coverage spanned Finance and Systems, Sales, Production, and Customer Services, with the finance team providing day to day system maintenance and supporting sales on stock related queries.
Governance and process changes were orchestrated through the Office Administrator, Finance and Systems role, which owned rollout tasks, ongoing system maintenance, and cross-department communication to ensure transactional integrity and operational efficiency. Implementation activities emphasized procedure standardization, cost accounting configuration, and workflow alignment between inventory operations and financial close processes.
