In 2017, MedImpact implemented AppWorx Workload Automation. AppWorx Workload Automation was deployed as a Business Process Management platform to orchestrate and schedule batch workloads supporting the Formulary Process Automation initiative at MedImpact Healthcare Systems.
Deployment architecture centered on orchestrating Java and Spring-based batch jobs, integrating with Spring Batch and Spring Boot microservices to control job lifecycles and dependency chaining. The implementation managed PL/SQL-driven database jobs and shell-scripted operational tasks, reflecting the engineering stack used on the project. Platform capabilities emphasized job scheduling, dependency orchestration, and event-driven triggers aligned with Business Process Management requirements.
