In 2019, Mekro implemented Solid Security Pro on its public WordPress site. Solid Security Pro from SolidWP formerly iThemes was deployed as a Secure Web Gateways (SWG) control to protect web-facing assets and customer-facing pages.
The implementation configured Solid Security Pro modules for web application firewall rules, brute force login protection, two factor authentication, file integrity monitoring, and scheduled malware scanning, reflecting common Secure Web Gateways (SWG) and WordPress hardening capabilities. Configuration emphasized rule based traffic filtering, login throttling, and automated scanning workflows, with policy and alerts managed through the WordPress administration interface. Solid Security Pro was used to centralize site security settings and automate routine threat detection tasks.
The deployment covered the corporate public website only and integrated with WordPress user management and site administration workflows. Operational ownership was assigned to Mekro's web administration and IT function for day to day configuration and incident review. Mekro used iThemes Security on their website, and Solid Security Pro reflects the vendor rebrand to SolidWP while preserving the WordPress hosted security control model.
