In 2020, Melba Utica Packing implemented Food Connex from CAI Software to address inventory accuracy and profitability tracking. Food Connex was adopted as an Inventory Management application to support inventory, production catch weight processing, and finance order to cash workflows across Melba Utica Packing operations in the New York tri state region.
The implementation configured core Inventory Management capabilities including real time inventory visibility, catch weight production controls, receiving and processing workflows, and invoicing to support order to cash. Configuration emphasized catch weight handling and inventory reconciliation to improve profitability accuracy and to align production and distribution processes with traceability requirements.
Food Connex was delivered as a cloud SaaS application and the deployment achieved a rapid go live that enabled Melba Utica Packing to print invoices within three weeks.
