Post migration of its ERP to SAP S/4HANA, Meliá intends to connect CDS views via operational data provisioning into SAP Datasphere and move group reporting from Analysis for Microsoft Office to the cloud ERP. The deployment achieved measurable consolidation of analytics sources, establishing eight data source connections to SAP Datasphere and centralizing more than 350 sustainability and social KPIs. Connectivity improvements reduced the time to onboard a new data source to about six hours, and the HR dashboard in SAP Analytics Cloud supplied HR teams with improved visibility into recruitment and training metrics at the hotel level, supporting broader self service analytics for business analysts.

The consolidated platform and OHIP connectivity supported more consistent governance of guest data and reporting, and enabled Meliá to deliver more personalized and frictionless arrival and in stay experiences, as described by the company.
