| SAP | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Metropolitan Transit System began an implementation of SAP S/4 HANA for core financials, deploying the solution as its ERP Financial platform. The project is explicitly framed as an upgrade from SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and carried forward SAP-centric governance and operations to the SAP S/4 HANA application to centralize financial management and budgeting capabilities.
The implementation footprint included a multi-system landscape with more than 10 production systems and 20 development systems, running SAP S/4 HANA alongside ECC, CRM, and BW on HANA. Functional modules and capabilities implemented or managed include FI, CO, MM, PM for asset management, CRM, IM, and LO, plus budgetary controls using PBF and embedded Fiori transactional and custom apps for end-user transaction processing and analytics.
Architecturally the estate combined HANA 2.0 and SQL Server databases on SUSE Linux and Windows Server, with middleware and integration layers such as SAP Cloud Connector for Fiori DevOps, Solution Manager, Portal, Mobility SMP, Content Server, and Business Objects for BI. The program explicitly managed security and authorizations using Central User Administration and SSO certificates, and maintained interfaces and integrations with disparate applications to support transit operations across MTS services.
Governance and operational controls centered on full software lifecycle management, support SLA oversight for functional and technical services partners, and technical roadmapping for an S/4 readiness and migration program. Readiness activities included ATC checks, vendor conversion validation, SI checks, Fiori enablement, and change management, and the technical team reported zero unplanned SAP downtime since the 1/1/2016 go live, reflecting operational stability following the 2016 greenfield go-live and subsequent BW on HANA and FI budget analytics initiatives.

| ADP | Legacy | ADP Vantage HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019 Metropolitan Transit System implemented ADP Vantage HCM as its Core HR platform. The rollout focused on the Human Resources department, a 17-person team that includes a four-person Benefits and Compensation unit administering benefits for more than 1,600 active employees within a 2,200 employee transit agency.
ADP Vantage HCM was configured to support core benefits administration, compensation management, leave management including state and federal leave workflows, and HRIS reporting capabilities. The implementation emphasized benefits enrollment orchestration, reconciliation of monthly benefit carrier invoices, maintenance of retiree HRA programs, and processing of payroll authorities and salary administration transactions.
Operational integrations center on exchanging electronic enrollment and reconciliation files with external benefit carrier web portals and maintaining synchronized employee records in external carrier databases. The Benefits and Compensation team continued to produce HRIS-compatible reports and electronic files for carriers, and the system supports routine tasks such as new hire benefits orientation, claims liaison activities, and collection of compensation survey statistics.
Governance changes included formalizing open enrollment coordination, enforcing compliance with multiple collective bargaining agreements, and centralizing leave eligibility and FMLA intake within ADP Vantage HCM. The implementation provided an integrated benefits solution that streamlines benefits workflows and reporting, while the Benefits and Compensation Analyst role retained responsibility for detailed data reconciliation and specialized reporting using HRIS exports and advanced spreadsheet techniques.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP Enterprise Asset Management | Enterprise Asset Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Metropolitan Transit System implemented SAP Enterprise Asset Management as part of a broader SAP ECC enh7 environment. The deployment integrated Enterprise Asset Management with core SAP modules to support maintenance, procurement, HR, finance, and customer service functions across MTS operations.
The implementation centered on SAP Enterprise Asset Management capabilities including work order and planned maintenance administration, functional location and equipment configuration, and measuring point configuration. Configuration work extended into Materials Management for procurement, MRP and warehouse management, HRCM for minimaster and organizational structure, CRM for case management and service center integration, and FI for funds management, grants management and NewGL functional needs.
Integrations were explicitly built between ECC, CRM and other MTS systems, with the Business Systems Analyst role supporting interfaces, data conversion and Extract Transform Load activities and process chains for Business Warehouse. The scope covered end to end functional flows for EAM driven maintenance and asset records, procurement to pay, HR role and authorization assignment, and CRM case handling tied back to asset and work order records.
Governance and operationalization included use of SAP transport change management, workflow approvals configuration, and comprehensive testing practices including unit, integration and regression testing. Implementation deliverables included procedural manuals, training content, test plans and ongoing configuration management, with business process analysis and cross functional liaison responsibilities embedded in IT and departmental operations.
