In 2015, Meydan Sobha implemented COINS HR & Payroll to centralize Payroll operations for its Dubai based projects. The COINS HR & Payroll deployment was configured to process payroll for around 9000+ employees in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, providing core payroll processing and pay administration for both staff and laborer populations.
The implementation included salary payment processing and pay advice generation, configuration of payslips and payroll documentation, and controls for consolidated salary advice approvals. Functional capabilities in use include payroll calculation for overtime and leave salary, final settlement processing, benefit payment preparations, and ad hoc reporting using advanced Excel methodologies, all managed through COINS HR & Payroll and linked operational procedures.
Operational integrations were established for wage disbursement through WPS and Non-WPS electronic file transfer to payment rails, enabling salary uploads and electronic payment channels. Governance and process controls were formalized, with documentation and payslip maintenance, monthly reconciliation of accrued salaries and utilities, and an approval workflow for consolidated salary advice, while the payroll team handled employee and laborer enquiries and supported the finance function in annual budget preparation.

Meydan Sobha implemented COINS ERP in 2015. COINS ERP served as the companys Construction ERP and the primary transactional source for finance, payroll, and commercial functions at Meydan Sobha Constructions LLC in Dubai.
The implementation focused on extracting COINS ERP transactional data from the Progress database using an ODBC connector, then staging and transforming that data within a SQL database. Development included end to end data pipeline work, creation of stored procedures to pull and bucket transactions from the Progress DB, and scheduling of data refreshes on the SQL side to support regular reporting cadences.
Reporting and analytics capability centered on Power BI as the visualization layer, with COINS ERP data exposed through the SQL staging area into automated Power BI datasets. Functional reporting modules built and automated included payroll reports for staff and labour, finance reports such as purchase ledger with supplier invoice bucketing, bank reconciliation, subcontractor ledger with payment bucketing, cost and revenue transactions, and VAT reporting. Commercial reports delivered included payment application, certification and payment reporting, staff cost monitoring, cash flow, and budget versus forecast reporting.
Operational coverage targeted the Payroll department, Finance stakeholders including the VP and Account Manager, and the Commercial Director in Dubai. The engagement included requirement analysis and data modelling in Power BI to align COINS ERP source structures with reporting schemas. The automation work reduced manual data cleansing effort for payroll reporting by 20 man hours per month and centralized reporting workflows through scheduled SQL refreshes and Power BI distribution.
