| Microsoft | Oracle E-Business Suite | Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Michelin Group implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as its ERP Financial solution, replacing Oracle E-Business Suite to support international commercial agency operations. The program targeted commercial agencies that distribute Michelin products and services in high growth countries and was managed under the OPE Program, led by Philippe GIRARDIN, Manager of the Optimization of Process and Experience initiative, with Cosmo Consult France retained as the system integrator and editor at the international level.
The implementation focused on standard ERP Financial capabilities aligned to agency operations, including core financial management, general ledger, accounts receivable and payable, invoicing, and order to cash workflows adapted for agency distribution. Configuration work emphasized multi-currency accounting, localized tax and regulatory settings, and pricing and inventory controls to accommodate diverse agency business models while keeping a centralized chart of accounts and fiscal controls.
Operational coverage was concentrated on Michelin commercial agencies in targeted high growth countries, using a centralized deployment structure with country and agency level localization. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central deployment was structured to integrate agency sales and distribution processes with centralized finance governance, enabling consistent financial reporting across regions without naming additional third party systems.
Governance was run as a centralized program under OPE, with Philippe GIRARDIN and his team coordinating configuration templates, rollout sequencing, change management and agency onboarding procedures. Cosmo Consult France acted as the implementation partner responsible for international rollouts and operational support, and stakeholder interviews were used to capture implementation feedback and lessons learned for subsequent phases.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle PeopleSoft HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012 Michelin Group implemented Oracle PeopleSoft HCM to establish a Core HR platform that centralizes employee master data and supports human resources and talent management functions. The initiative used Oracle PeopleSoft HCM as the authoritative HR system for workforce records and organizational management across the enterprise.
Configuration work focused on Core HR capabilities within Oracle PeopleSoft HCM, including employee and position management, organizational structures, benefits administration, absence management, and performance and talent management workflows. The implementation incorporated PeopleSoft configuration for role based access controls, security domains, and business unit segmentation to align HR processes with Michelin Group governance.
The deployment included explicit integration with Taleo for recruiting and applicant tracking, with data flows from Taleo into PeopleSoft HCM to create and maintain employee records through the hire to onboard lifecycle. Typical integrations were implemented to exchange HR master data with country specific payroll and timekeeping systems and to support downstream HR reporting and workforce analytics.
Governance established a centralized HR master data model, standardized HR process definitions, and phased rollout across business units and legal entities to control data quality and security. Change governance included process owners for HR, documentation of position and approval workflows, and structured cutover sequencing to align PeopleSoft adoption with local compliance requirements.
