| Reckon | Legacy | Reckon Billback | Expense Management | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2016 | 2016 |
In 2016 MinterEllison deployed Reckon Billback as its Expense Management application for firm billing and expense chargeback workflows. The deployment was positioned to support professional services expense capture and client billing across the firm’s Australian practice, with Reckon Billback referenced as the primary expense management tool in application stream planning.
Configuration work centered on Reckon Billback modules for expense capture, chargeback and allocation logic, configurable billing rules, matter and cost code mapping, and reporting and reconciliation capabilities. Implementation required detailed system configuration knowledge to align billing rule engines and reconciliation reports with firm invoicing and client accounting processes.
The program contributed to improvement plans at an application stream level, working alongside streams such as practice management systems, Concur and iBillback to assess cross‑system impacts and configuration dependencies. Efforts emphasized coordination with finance and practice teams to ensure mapping of expense items to matter ledgers and to minimize downstream billing exceptions.
Governance activities focused on establishing configuration baselines, change control for billing rules, and an application stream review process to surface configuration impacts into broader improvement planning. Stakeholder engagement and documented configuration standards supported ongoing operational stewardship of Reckon Billback within the firm’s Expense Management landscape.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2020 | 2021 |
In 2020 MinterEllison began deployment of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central to support its business and talent strategy. The selected solution addressed Core HR needs and prioritized a unified platform for Talent and Payroll, with Pinpoint HRM retained as the implementation partner.
Phase One kicked off in May 2020 and delivered Core HR and Payroll on a mobile-enabled SAP SuccessFactors platform by May 2021. The SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central implementation included configuration of mobile workflows and employee self-service, enabling staff to book and approve leave, update personal and banking information, create career profiles, and maintain practising certificates and other professional accreditations. The mobile experience was branded myME.
The implementation established a unified Talent and Payroll architecture that embedded an integrated payroll system and digitised HR workflows to accelerate task execution and provide partners and leaders with reliable reporting methods. Operational coverage extended across MinterEllison staff globally, with the platform capturing 33 spoken languages and supporting hybrid work through the SAP SuccessFactors mobile app. A pre-launch myME video produced by Pinpoint HRM supported rapid user adoption.
Early adoption metrics within two weeks of go live included 60 percent of employees downloading the myME app and more than 1,000 employees booking 10,000 days of leave on the platform. Governance moved toward centralized employee data and digital approval workflows in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, and Phase Two planning is underway to add Talent modules including recruitment, onboarding, learning, performance, and succession. Pinpoint HRM continues to work with MinterEllison to roll out the additional modules and extend talent management capabilities on the Core HR platform.
