ElastiFlow Legacy ElastiFlow NetIntel Incident Management ITSM n/a 2023 2023
In 2023, Mittwald implemented ElastiFlow NetIntel to strengthen network security and enhance Incident Management through flow based visibility and alert enrichment. The deployment focused on ingesting flow telemetry and applying NetIntel enrichment to raise alert fidelity for operational incident handling. ElastiFlow NetIntel was configured to perform flow data enrichment, generate higher fidelity alerts, and surface DDoS indicators that had previously produced noisy threat signals. NetIntel enrichment was explicitly used to correlate flow attributes and reduce noisy threat alerts, and the implementation introduced escalation rules and workflow definitions to accelerate mitigation handoffs for operational teams. The deployment integrated ElastiFlow NetIntel with NetObserv for flow collection and visualization, consolidating telemetry into a single flow pipeline for analysis. Operational scope centered on datacenter and network operations teams, using the combined NetObserv and ElastiFlow NetIntel stack to detect and mitigate DDoS attacks and to streamline incident identification. Governance changes included updating incident response playbooks and alert handling procedures to incorporate higher fidelity flow alerts from ElastiFlow NetIntel, improving coordination between network operations and security. Outcomes reported by Mittwald included improved threat detection and accelerated mitigation workflows, with NetIntel explicitly used to enrich flow data for higher fidelity alerts and to reduce alert noise.
