ORTEC Legacy Ortec Finance PEARL Asset Performance Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2015 2015
In 2015 Mn Services Netherlands implemented Ortec Finance PEARL for Asset Performance Management. The deployment placed responsibility for daily index values into Pearl CM to support performance attribution, with the Ortec Finance PEARL environment feeding attribution calculations and daily index provisioning used by investment operations. Configuration centered on Pearl CM for index and benchmark management and the Pearl Webportal for attribution review. Operational capabilities implemented include automated and manual benchmark import processes, routine checks for unusual returns, total effect and residuals in the Pearl Webportal, and procedures to manually import any missing benchmarks and correct portfolio or benchmark security mappings. Operational coverage extended to all portfolios under management, with specific monitoring for mandates and IMA level limits across portfolios. The operational team identified unusual residuals for all high yield portfolios covering Q1 and Q2 of 2017, and performed assessments of portfolio and benchmark security changes to ensure attribution accuracy. Governance and workflow changes formalized daily reconciliation and exception handling, assigning responsibilities for index validation, manual benchmark imports, and security correction. Programmed mandate rules were subject to change control, with documented steps to modify mandate rules when monitoring flagged limit breaches, embedding performance attribution controls into investment operations.
