In 2017 ModSquad implemented Sage Intacct as its cloud based ERP Financial system. The Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting directed the transformational implementation, reporting to the COO and leading a global finance team of nine professionals.
The Sage Intacct deployment focused on core financial management and multi entity accounting, with configuration of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and financial reporting modules to create centralized control and automated reporting workflows. The implementation embedded dashboard KPIs and related targets that ModSquad used to drive a seven point gross margin improvement, and the company characterized the program as operationalizing its entire business with Sage Intacct.
Operational scope included the establishment of subsidiaries in Derry Northern Ireland and San Jose Costa Rica, and negotiation of banking, audit and tax relationships aligned to the new financial architecture. The cloud based Sage Intacct configuration supported multi entity consolidation and a standardized chart of accounts across those locations, enabling unified month end close and consolidated financial reporting.
Governance and rollout were executed from the finance function, consolidating finance processes and dashboards under SVP ownership while aligning controls with corporate operations. The SVP’s external engagement as an Intacct MVP and conference panelist supported adoption and governance messaging during the rollout.
