| Salesforce | Legacy | Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware) | Field Service Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Momentum Solar deployed Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware) to address Field Service Management requirements across its operations. The engagement covered a Strategy Implementation Manager scope from August 2018 to December 2018, with a focus on aligning sales and field workflows informed by an analysis of CRM Microsoft Dynamics and current state process mapping. Salesforce Field Service was positioned alongside Sales Cloud to create unified service and sales workflows.
The implementation configured Field Service Lightning capabilities for work order management, scheduling, dispatch, and mobile technician execution, supporting site assessment, installation, and activation activities. Sales Cloud workflows were instrumented to handle proposals, quoting and financing orchestration, accompanied by visual flows created in Lucidcharts and wireframes in Adobe XD to document current and future state processes. Call center routing, data entry, and reporting workflows were analyzed and folded into the Field Service Management design to ensure end to end process continuity.
Integrations were explicitly scoped with named systems and partners, including CRM Microsoft Dynamics as the analyzed prior CRM, financiers SunRun, Sunnova, IGS and Dividend for commission and revenue calculation, Conga for quotes and proposals, and Paylocity for HR and compensation data feeding Workday. Additional systems documented for integration included Aurora, Wufoo, DataTree, GoodNotes, SignNow, Velocify, CallTools and the PV Watts calculator to support proposal accuracy, financing feeds and field documentation. These integrations were represented in the process artifacts to clarify data handoffs between sales, finance, HR and field operations.
Governance and rollout planning emphasized cross functional coverage across Call Center, Data Entry, Reporting, Sales Support and Performance, Proposals, Quotes, Financing, Permits, Site Assessment, Installation and Activation teams, with process artifacts used to guide configuration, testing and handoff. The program defined functional ownership for the Field Service Management platform and aligned commission and revenue data flows with operational scheduling and field execution to support coordinated operations.
