In 2023 Mood Media migrated Oracle E-Business Suite and related enterprise applications to AWS Virtual Private Cloud in an Application Hosting and Computing Services engagement. Apps Associates served as the implementation partner for the cloud hosted, US based implementation that shifted production systems into Amazon VPC while maintaining connectivity to the on premise datacenter.
The deployment used Amazon VPC to provide isolated network segmentation for production workloads, and hosted ERP and finance workloads running on Oracle E-Business Suite alongside ancillary enterprise apps. The AWS Virtual Private Cloud configuration included VPC peering and secure network routing to the existing datacenter, enabling consistent production hosting, backup connectivity, and centralized control of compute and network boundaries.
As part of the implementation Mood Media instrumented an Amazon Redshift data lake for analytics consumption, consolidating operational and transactional data from Oracle E-Business Suite and other enterprise applications. The implementation consequentially aligned application hosting, data ingestion, and analytics pipelines under the Application Hosting and Computing Services design, supporting finance and analytics business functions.
Operational outcomes reported with the AWS Virtual Private Cloud deployment included a reduction in outages and a lower total cost of ownership, driven by the cloud hosted production posture and consolidated analytics platform. Governance and rollout centered on partner led migration waves, network reconfiguration through Amazon VPC, and integration of Redshift as the analytics layer, with Apps Associates responsible for implementation coordination and cutover activities.
