In 2004, Moray College implemented Software for People HR Absence and Grievance using Software for People’s World Service to centralize HR and payroll processing for the college. The deployment targeted HR and payroll process areas across the United Kingdom campus and replaced a bureau payroll service to manage hourly paid contracts and visiting lecturers.
The implementation combined Absence and Leave Management functionality with World Service payroll processing, aligning absence tracking and grievance case records with payroll calculations and HR workflows. Operational ownership was assigned to the college HR and payroll teams, and the project focused on process consolidation and improved management information. The rollout delivered greater control and improved management information for hourly and visiting staff through the use of World Service payroll modules and integrated absence handling.
