SAP Legacy SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial ERP Financial Management .riess Engineering Europe 2021 2021
In 2021, MOSCA implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial system, engaging .riess Engineering Europe to deliver tight PLM integration components and configuration support. The deployment centered on establishing SAP S/4 HANA as the transactional backbone for finance and operations while enabling engineering and product data to flow into ERP processes. The SAP S/4 HANA implementation included financial and core ERP configuration aligned with ERP Financial requirements, and explicit PLM-enabled data flows. SAP Engineering Control Center interface to PTC Creo was used to manage CAD files and structures inside SAP, enabling creation and linking of SAP material masters and generation of bills of materials at the push of a button, while the SAP product data management integration to PTC Windchill provided a bidirectional path to populate SAP with objects and structures originating in Windchill. Integrations were scoped to connect R&D, Design & Engineering, and plant engineering functions into the SAP S/4 HANA environment, delivering a model-centric PLM approach through the coupling of PTC Windchill and SAP S/4 HANA. The integration architecture prioritized a single-system availability of product structures and masters so downstream SAP processes across manufacturing and support functions could consume consistent data regardless of the originating CAD source. Governance and process changes focused on workflow-supported plant and change processes to raise master data quality and realize end-to-end PLM systematics. MOSCA positioned SAP S/4 HANA and the defined PLM integrations to provide a single source of truth for product and financial data, enabling coordinated finance, engineering, and manufacturing operations while preserving the option to operate with either fully managed CAD data in SAP or model-centric Windchill-driven PLM workflows.

PTC Legacy PTC Windchill Product Lifecycle Management PLM and Engineering .riess Engineering Europe 2021 2021
In 2021 MOSCA implemented PTC Windchill as its Product Lifecycle Management foundation, initiating a model-centric PLM approach for the machine and plant manufacturer. The deployment was executed with implementation partner .riess Engineering Europe and focused on coupling PTC Windchill with SAP S/4HANA through the SAP product data management integration to PTC Windchill to enable consistent product data across engineering and ERP domains. The implementation emphasized core Product Lifecycle Management capabilities, including bidirectional data synchronization between PTC Windchill and SAP, CAD integration patterns for PTC Creo via the SAP Engineering Control Center interface, automated creation of SAP material masters from CAD data, and bill of materials generation triggered from engineering structures. PTC Windchill was configured to support workflow-driven plant and change processes, providing the procedural backbone for model-centric engineering and master data governance. Integrations were centered on SAP S/4HANA and the SAP product data management integration to PTC Windchill, with PTC Creo used for CAD data capture and the SAP Engineering Control Center presented as the SAP-side CAD management option. Operational coverage targeted R&D and Design & Engineering functions, and the implemented flows generate the information artifacts required for downstream SAP processes so that engineering and ERP share a holistic product view. Governance and process restructuring accompanied the technical rollout, with workflow-supported plant and change processes introduced to raise master data quality and to realize a digital twin oriented product view. The customer presentation describes how these changes realized foundations for a model-centric way of working and reworked PLM systematics at MOSCA without prescribing a single CAD data source, enabling company-wide availability of engineering and ERP objects for subsequent processes.
