In 2019, Motivate (formerly Alta Bike Share) deployed Doodle Recruitment Scheduling to manage interview scheduling, onboarding, and related orientation activities. Doodle Recruitment Scheduling is used as an Interview Scheduling solution to centralize calendar coordination across the People Team, recruiting, manager-led training, and operations staff.
The implementation leveraged Doodle features described in the case study, including group polls for assembling large cohorts, Doodle 1:1 for multiple training and feedback sessions, and the Booking Page to publish individual availability. Administrators on the People Team created multiple meeting invitations for training and onboarding sessions, allowed employees to self-select sessions, and delivered calendar invites to confirmed attendees through Doodle Recruitment Scheduling. These configuration patterns enabled both recurring cohort events and ad hoc one-to-one scheduling workflows typical of Interview Scheduling deployments.
Operationally the deployment covered the full hiring lifecycle from interview through orientation and was used for cross‑role events such as flu-shot clinics, manager training, and professional development. Doodle accommodated participants outside the corporate calendar network, which was important because hourly field employees lacked company email accounts and could sign up for sessions as external guests. The solution therefore bridged office, C‑suite, and hourly on‑site staff scheduling needs.
Governance of the rollout was led by Kishona, project manager on Motivate’s People Team, who used the tool to streamline scheduling and reduce administrative coordination. The case study reports that Doodle reduced administrative work to zero for scheduling tasks and supported Motivate’s efforts to nurture corporate culture and facilitate ongoing employee development.
