In 2023, Multilink Italy implemented CloudFire Hosting using CloudFire's Application Hosting and Computing Services to run hosted telephony and unified communications for its customers in Italy. The CloudFire Hosting deployment was built on CloudFire's OpenStack IaaS and used Talky Time Direct Routing as the telephony routing layer to operate NethServer and NethVoice instances for managed services delivery.
The implementation delivered certified, replicable NethServer8 ISOs as the provisioning artifact, enabling automated image-based provisioning and consistent configuration across customer instances. CloudFire Hosting supported high performance and reliability under load for telephony workloads, and the certified ISO approach standardized build and patch processes for NethServer and NethVoice.
Operational scope covered Multilink Italy's MSP service delivery for customer telephony across its Italian footprint, shifting provisioning and support workflows toward image-driven deployment. Integrations explicitly included CloudFire OpenStack IaaS for compute and storage and Talky Time Direct Routing for telephony connectivity, with NethServer/NethVoice running as the application layer.
Governance centered on ISO certification and reproducible deployment patterns, which reduced provisioning and setup times to a few hours and enabled faster customer onboarding. The CloudFire Hosting implementation emphasized repeatable operational procedures and image governance to sustain service consistency for Multilink Italy.
