In 2018, Murphy & King Professional Corporation implemented LexisNexis Concordance to support litigation processing and review within a Case Management context. The deployment targeted US litigation workflows and leveraged the Concordance CloudNine eDiscovery toolset as the primary processing and review platform.
LexisNexis Concordance was configured to handle core eDiscovery processing and document review workflows, including ingest and imaging, indexing and full text search, review tagging and coding, and production preparation. The implementation emphasized chain of evidence handling and review queue orchestration consistent with Case Management and legal operations practices.
Operational coverage centered on the firm’s litigation support and attorney review teams, bringing eDiscovery processing in-house rather than outsourcing review. This in-house orientation changed operational ownership of evidence intake, processing throughput, and review lifecycle management across litigation teams for US matters.
Governance and process changes included internalizing processing workflows and establishing centralized review repositories and review protocols for matter intake and responsiveness tagging. The firm reported rapid ROI from bringing eDiscovery processing in-house, and the Concordance product noted here was part of LexisNexis until its 2018 sale to CloudNine.
