Duck Creek Technologies Legacy Duck Creek Payments Orchestrator Payment Processing ERP Financial Management Larsen & Toubro 2021 2021
In 2021 Mutual Benefit Group implemented Duck Creek Payments Orchestrator as part of a Duck Creek OnDemand modernization program executed with systems integrator Larsen & Toubro. The deployment targeted claims and finance process modernization in Pennsylvania, with a specific emphasis on streamlining payment and reserving workflows and improving continuity and security. The implementation was delivered alongside a broader Duck Creek OnDemand migration of the insurer's Duck Creek core applications. Duck Creek Payments Orchestrator was configured to centralize payment routing and orchestration, reconciliation, and reserve-aware disbursement logic consistent with Payment Processing capabilities. Configuration work focused on secure payment lifecycle management and automated handoffs between claims and finance functional modules, aligning payment orchestration with reserve calculations and claims settlement workflows. Integrations connected the Payments Orchestrator to the Duck Creek OnDemand core to exchange claims and financial data, and Larsen & Toubro led the systems integration and rollout. The architecture leveraged the Duck Creek OnDemand deployment model to embed orchestrated payment flows into insurer operations and to support connectivity to external banking and settlement channels. Governance and process changes included revised workflows for claims-triggered, reserve-aware payments and tightened finance oversight of reconciliation, with LTI coordinating process transition and cutover sequencing. Reported outcomes from the program include streamlined payment and reserving outcomes and improved continuity and security as part of the Duck Creek OnDemand initiative.
