In 2014, Nassau Provisions implemented the NECS entree application as its Distribution ERP. The on-premise NECS entree deployment served as the company system of record for inventory and order data supporting the 80,000 square foot distribution center and multi-route next-day delivery model to more than 1,600 customer locations.
NECS entree was configured to manage core distribution ERP functions including inventory control, order entry and processing, SKU master data, customer account billing and basic lot and expiration tracking consistent with distribution workflows. Configuration emphasized cold chain and multi-temperature inventory handling to reflect frozen, refrigerated and ambient SKUs, and supported case-level order processing used by Nassau Provisions for next-day fulfillment.
The NECS entree installation was hosted onsite and acted as the authoritative source for orders and inventory during the subsequent WMS selection and implementation. Integration requirements with a warehouse management system were explicit during vendor evaluation, and NECS entree supplied the transactional order and inventory feeds that the later WMS implementation referenced for putaway, picking and shipping workflows.
Operationally, NECS entree covered order management, inventory records and customer billing across receiving, putaway and shipping activities, while warehouse execution remained paper driven until a later WMS rollout. Governance and data accuracy became focal points after go-live, prompting the creation of an IT support team and a coordinated inventory validation effort to reconcile on-the-floor practices with the NECS entree master data.
