The configuration supported capture of payroll journal entries following payroll processing in ADP and regular balance sheet reconciliations.
Payroll operations remained processed in ADP while payroll journal entries were recorded in Infor SunSystems, supporting timely and accurate pay for approximately 90 domestic and overseas staff each pay cycle. Month-end close activities included review and reconciliation of 60 balance sheet accounts and posting of adjusting journal entries in SunSystems to ensure accurate financial statements. Reporting and transaction workflows combined SunSystems reporting, Excel extraction and manual journal controls to maintain operational transparency.
Governance actions included training a new payroll administrator to operate ADP and to prepare payroll journal entries for SunSystems, with supervisory examination of payroll output and reconciliations. The team developed a standard company procedure for issuance and settlement of overseas employee allowances, coordinating human resources, international project and finance departments. Process automation for post differential calculation, separate maintenance allowance and proration of vacation and sick accruals shortened payroll processing time by 25 percent and institutionalized consistent payroll and allowance handling within the Infor SunSystems ERP Financial environment.
