The implementation impacted unemployment claims processing, case management, investigations, and overpayment recovery functions, with governance organized around joint operational handoffs between Nelnet teams and Nebraska Department Of Labor subject matter experts. Across an 18 month period the combined Nelnet services and Nelnet Data Analytics and AI handled nearly 500,000 matters and supported investigation workflows that helped recover tens of millions in overpayments. Reporting and investigative capabilities were a focal point of the rollout, aligning analytics outputs to existing claims adjudication processes and operational staffing models.
