MHR (formerly MidlandHR) Legacy MHR iTrent HR Core HR HCM n/a 2011 2011
In 2011 NEC Group implemented MHR iTrent HR as its Core HR platform to centralize HR and payroll administration across the organisation. The deployment covered core HR administration alongside payroll, time and expenses, performance management, employee self service and learning and development capabilities, aligning the MHR iTrent HR application with HR service delivery for a 1500 person professional services employer. The implementation of MHR iTrent HR was configured to run four monthly payroll cycles and to manage a population of over 2000 salaried and casual or zero hours workers, in addition to pensioners and a separate third party payroll. Configuration details included multi-payroll processing, payroll accounting feeds and expenses reconciliation workflows, supporting an annual payroll spend in excess of £40 million. Operational responsibilities extended to supporting the HR Service Centre, producing and maintaining non-standard reports, and supporting the third party relationship with the HRSC systems supplier. The MHR iTrent HR environment was used as the authoritative source for payroll and HR records and to feed reconciliations required by payroll accounting and expenses functions. Governance and operational procedures were formalised around system administration and process re-engineering, including review of iTrent upgrades and service packs. The HRSC team formulated UAT timescales, created test scenarios, and maintained communication channels and stakeholder relationships across internal and external teams to coordinate releases and ongoing support.
