IBM Legacy IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management ERP Services and Operations n/a 2022 2022
In 2024, New Jersey Resources implemented IBM Maximo as its Enterprise Asset Management platform to support utility operations and centralized EAM development. The IBM Maximo application is positioned to serve Work and Asset Management and Mobile Workforce Management workflows, with a dedicated Maximo Application Developer role responsible for the full application lifecycle. Implementation work emphasizes core Maximo capabilities, including configuration through the Maximo Application Designer, schema and table modeling, Maximo Workflow Designer, MBO customizations, automation scripts written in python, jython and JavaScript, and BIRT report development. The environment design references Maximo Scheduler and Work Centers and explicit support for Maximo Application Suite 8 components and MAS8.x oriented configurations, alongside DB2, SQL, XML and HTML for data and reporting layers. Integrations are implemented using the Maximo Integration Framework and web services, leveraging REST and SOAP interfaces to connect IBM Maximo with enterprise systems such as GIS, Oracle ERP, SAP C4C and Clevest. The technical scope also calls out patterns for Informatica iPaaS and ETL, messaging with RabbitMQ, and identity integration using SSO, SAML and OAUTH, indicating a hybrid integration posture across field mobility, back office and enterprise applications. Governance and operational processes are structured around standards and best practices for EAM, with active participation across Software Development Life Cycle phases including requirements, design, development, testing and deployment. The program includes production support responsibilities, technical documentation, mentoring and cross-functional stakeholder collaboration between IT and business leaders, with adoption of DevOps, cloud native approaches and software delivery methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall to manage rollout and ongoing maintenance.
