NiCo Resources Technographics
Discover the latest software purchases and digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by NiCo Resources and its business and technology executives. Each quarter our research team identifies on-prem and cloud applications that are being used by the 900 NiCo Resources employees from the public (Press Releases, Customer References, Testimonials, Case Studies and Success Stories) and proprietary sources.
During our research, we have identified that NiCo Resources has purchased the following applications: Microsoft 365 for Collaboration in 2021, Intuit Mailchimp for Marketing Automation in 2022, AVEVA Plant SCADA for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) in 2020 and the related IT decision-makers and key stakeholders.
Our database provides customer insight and contextual information on which enterprise applications and software systems NiCo Resources is running and its propensity to invest more and deepen its relationship with Microsoft , Intuit , Google or identify new suppliers as part of their overall Digital and IT transformation projects to stay competitive, fend off threats from disruptive forces, or comply with internal mandates to improve overall enterprise efficiency.
We have been analyzing NiCo Resources revenues, which have grown to $95.0 million in 2024, plus its IT budget and roadmap, cloud software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions for NiCo Resources intention to invest in emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database or in cloud-based ERP, HCM, CRM, EPM, Procurement or Treasury applications.

In 2020, NiCo Resources implemented AVEVA Plant SCADA to strengthen process control at its Renison tin processing operations. The AVEVA Plant SCADA deployment targeted Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) capabilities to centralize real time control and monitoring for the Metallurgical Improvement Program focused on increasing mill throughput and metallurgical recovery.
Configuration workstreams centered on standard SCADA functional modules including real time HMI and control logic, process stability control items commissioning, and the replacement design for the On stream Analysis OSA system to provide inline sample analysis for faster operational decisions. The implementation also encompassed alarm handling and operational parameter standardization to support improved operator training and consistent execution of milling and ore sorting procedures.
The AVEVA Plant SCADA implementation was aligned with completion of the process data historian project and the upgrade to process plant control software Citect SCADA, creating an integrated control and data architecture across the processing plant. Integrations explicitly included the process data historian and the OSA analytical infrastructure, and the SCADA environment was applied to circuits tied to ore sorting and mill throughput control, supporting operations, process engineering, maintenance and metallurgical teams.
Governance and operational change emphasized updated control system procedures, improved training and communication of standard operating parameters to embed new stability controls into daily practice. Outcomes documented during the program included completion of the process data historian project, commencement of commissioning for process stability control items and measurable increases in mill throughput rates achieved through ore sorting optimisation as part of the broader Metallurgical Improvement Program.
