In 2019, Nine Entertainment Co implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as its ERP Financial platform to centralize and standardize finance operations across the business. The initiative was scoped and led by the Financial Controller and prioritized a redesigned chart of accounts, comprehensive data migration and organisation wide training for finance staff in satellite offices.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was configured to deliver core financial capabilities including general ledger, management accounts, preparation and presentation of financial statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll within a finance shared services framework. The rollout incorporated development of reporting frameworks such as national sales reports, management packs and board reports to support commercial managers and executive decision making.
The implementation included integrations and workflow alignment with advertising traffic systems, supporting the transition from Visual Traffic to Wide Orbit to preserve transfer of more than 500 media bookings and to enable sales insights reporting for the National Sales Director and State Managers. Operational coverage spanned finance, commercial leadership and multiple satellite offices, and the system supported financial advisory activities for the CEO, CFO and COO.
Governance focused on scoping, design controls, data migration procedures and role based training and mentoring of qualified accountants and assistant accountants. The program also supported acquisition and merger activity through due diligence and organisation modelling, and the Financial Controller recorded a 30% year over year improvement to EBITDA as an explicit outcome.

| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle PeopleSoft HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Nine Entertainment Co. implemented Oracle PeopleSoft HCM as a Core HR application. The deployment was positioned to serve the Group HR and payroll functions across Nine's national media brands, supporting an employee base of approximately 5,254 and aligning HR records and workforce management with enterprise financial controls.
Oracle PeopleSoft HCM was configured to deliver Core HR capabilities including centralized employee master records, position and job structures, employee self service, absence and leave management, and payroll interface workflows. Configuration work emphasized HR data model standardization and role based access controls to support security and compliance in a multi brand media environment.
The implementation was delivered into an existing enterprise systems landscape that included PeopleSoft for Finance, Chris21 as an HR system in the estate, TM1 for group financial reporting, TimeTarget rostering, and SharePoint for document collaboration, requiring data orchestration and integration points between HR, payroll, rostering and finance processes. Integration patterns focused on master data synchronization, payroll feeds into financial ledgers, and operational handoffs to rostering and scheduling tools to maintain accurate workforce costing and reporting.
Program governance was led from IT business solutions and enterprise data leadership, with delivery and run teams sized at roughly 60 FTE and budgetary oversight across OpEx and CapEx lines. The rollout aligned HR, payroll and workforce management functions under centralized operational governance, and the resulting Oracle PeopleSoft HCM instance operated within an enterprise platform portfolio that supported Nine's revenue generating operations and maintained high availability of critical business systems.
