DocuSign Legacy DocuSign eSignature Digital Signing Content Management n/a 2021 2021
In 2021, NIO implemented DocuSign eSignature as a Digital Signing capability on its website. The DocuSign eSignature implementation embeds electronic signing into NIO's public and authenticated web workflows to capture legally binding signatures for customer agreements and online consent flows. Configuration focuses on web based signing ceremonies, reusable templates and envelope orchestration, signer authentication options and forensic audit trails that are standard for Digital Signing applications. DocuSign eSignature is used to present the signing user experience, collect signer inputs, and produce completed signed documents accessible through the website interaction. Integration is explicitly limited to NIO's website, where embedded signing flows are invoked to complete customer facing transactions and maintain signature state within the web environment. The website integration is the primary operational touchpoint and is designed to drive signature capture during online purchase and agreement flows. Governance centers on auditability and role based access to signed artifacts, with process changes to route web captured signatures into NIO's operational workflows for recordkeeping and compliance. This arrangement positions NIO DocuSign eSignature Digital Signing to centralize electronic agreement capture on the corporate website and to support standard legal acceptance and archival practices.

Cadence Design Systems Legacy Cadence BETA CAE 2D/3D Simulation PLM and Engineering n/a 2024 2024
In 2024 NIO implemented Cadence BETA CAE as a 2D/3D Simulation solution to automate and standardize welded joint strength assessment during the virtual whole vehicle development stage. NIO and BETA collaborated to build a targeted capability for spotweld post-processing, delivering a purpose built toolbar identified as the NIO China Spotwelds Post-Processing Toolbar within Cadence BETA CAE. Cadence BETA CAE was configured to expose a weld assessment postprocessing toolset with a user friendly interface, multiple visualization modes, and automated calculations for common joint types. Functional capabilities implemented include automated extraction and evaluation of spotweld results, visualization of weld states across assemblies, and calculation workflows for spotwelds, SPR, and FDS consistent with 2D/3D Simulation practices. The implementation was scoped to the virtual development stage of whole vehicle engineering at NIO China, enabling CAE analysts and structural engineers to run end to end spotweld evaluations inside the Cadence BETA CAE environment. The solution is positioned to integrate into existing CAE simulation workflows and result review processes, surfacing weld level metrics directly inside postprocessing sessions to support vehicle structural assessment. Governance and adoption focused on simplifying analyst tasks and lowering the training barrier, enabling users to complete strength analyses that previously required intense training. According to NIO, the weld assessment postprocessing tool reduced the time to evaluate all joints in the whole vehicle from 2 to 3 days down to half a day, demonstrating a material operational efficiency in the 2D/3D Simulation domain.
