HireRight Legacy HireRight Employment Background Checks BackGround Screening HCM n/a 2016 2017
In 2016, Northwestern Medicine implemented HireRight Employment Background Checks. The deployment addressed BackGround Screening needs for HR and talent acquisition across the health system, which supports approximately 33,000 employees, and it was planned against a daily HRIS landscape that included Taleo, HireRight, ImageNow, PeopleSoft, and Workday. The HireRight Employment Background Checks implementation emphasized standard BackGround Screening capabilities, including automated candidate ordering, criminal record searches, employment and education verification, credential verification, and compliance workflow orchestration. Configuration work focused on screening templates by role and rule based triggers to align screening steps with healthcare credentialing and hiring policies. Integrations connected HireRight to Taleo for candidate initiation, and to PeopleSoft and Workday for candidate to employee record reconciliation, while ImageNow was used for document imaging and retention workflows. These system connections supported screening status propagation, adjudication routing to hiring managers, and centralized retention of screening artifacts in the enterprise content environment. Governance and operational controls were organized under HR and talent acquisition, with standardized ordering procedures, role based access controls for sensitive results, and defined workflows for exception handling and compliance review to meet healthcare hiring requirements.

eClinicalWorks Legacy eClinicalWorks Cloud EHR Electronic Health Record ERP Services and Operations n/a 2014 2014
In 2014 Northwestern Medicine implemented eClinicalWorks Cloud EHR as an Electronic Health Record to support clinical and practice management functions. The deployment occurred amid the September 2014 acquisition of CDH Cadence Health, and operational responsibility included support for multiple ambulatory systems including Epic Ambulatory and Orthopaedic alongside eClinicalWorks instances. The implementation footprint included eClinicalWorks EHR and eClinicalWorks PMS modules, supporting clinical documentation, patient records, scheduling, and practice management workflows consistent with Electronic Health Record operations. eClinicalWorks Cloud EHR configurations reflected a mixture of hosted and non hosted instances, with 47 discrete eClinicalWorks instances and numerous end users across practices in the Greater Chicago area. Operational architecture combined on premises physical and virtual servers with cloud hosted eClinicalWorks instances, creating a hybrid topology for application hosting and persistence. Support and change control were integrated with ServiceNow and 360 Facility service management software to track incidents and formalize change workflows, and the environment coexisted with Epic Ambulatory and Orthopaedic deployments and other health system applications. Governance centered on centralized service management and application support practices, with senior application analysts maintaining server infrastructure and practice level configurations across the 47 instances. The implementation emphasized operational sustainment, cross application support, and managed change processes through ServiceNow and 360 Facility rather than isolated point solutions.
