SAP Legacy SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial ERP n/a 2011 2012
In 2011 Novus International, Inc. implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to support ERP Financial workloads and to assess requirements and feasibility for integrated procurement, materials and finance processes. The engagement included extraction of master material data from SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and loading into a target Oracle database system as part of a broader data consolidation and reporting initiative. The implementation covered SAP MM Procurement module, SAP SD, SAP WM, SAP QM and FI-CO transformation and loading for financial consolidation. BI and reporting capabilities were implemented using SAP BW HANA modeling, BEx query development, SAP BOBJ queries and Crystal Reports, supplemented by HANA attribute views and HANA CE functions to support analytical workloads. Data integration and ETL architecture was built around Business Objects Data Services 3.2, configured with both SAP R/3 and non-SAP source systems, and the Job Server and Access Server were configured via Server Manager. The project created Projects, Batch Jobs and Real Time Jobs, workflows and data flows using the object library, and employed SQL scripts and Teradata alongside Oracle as target systems to support the SPECS data warehouse extraction, transformation and loading. Operational coverage spanned procurement, inventory/materials management, sales order processing, warehouse operations, quality management and finance, with testing centered on sample master material reports extracted from SAP ERP ECC 6.0. Governance activities included ETL and job scheduling configuration, BODS server management and validation of BEx and BOBJ queries, aligning system workflows to business processes without claiming specific outcome metrics.
